Meet Mykos...

I am a Wisconsin native (from Racine) and graduated from University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in 1976 with a degree in biology. I promptly moved to California (for 17 years) where I worked as a pastry chef and later in a winery - nothing like putting that biology degree to good use! It was during my time in Cali - where I was first introduced to, and fell in love with, massage therapy.

Mykos

I have been a Sport Massage therapist in Madison since 1998, where I have had the privilege of working with the University of Wisconsin Football team (12 years), Wrestling (13 years), Men's Hockey (10 years), Women's Hockey (1 year), Men's Basketball (7 years), Men's Soccer (11 years), and Men's & Women's Track (5 years). It is both exciting and challenging to help these athletes reach their peak performance, whether in a competitive or training environment. They each come to the massage table with unique concerns, which keeps my work ‘fresh’ and motivating.

A country boy at heart, my home is in northern Wisconsin (hence the evolution of my practice to the Woodruff/Minocqua area). A lifetime Badger and Packer fan (no apologies), I enjoy working with active people and helping them achieve their goals. So, whether your goal is to promote healing from injuries or vigorous exercise, stress and tension reduction, or recover from training or a competitive event - I am here to help!

A picture is worth a thousand words: get to know me through photos of my travels and adventures with Wisconsin athletics in the photo gallery.
